On Monday, September 22nd, 1986, the Mayor of Castlereagh, Alderman P. D. Robinson MP, formally opened the Dundonald International Ice Bowl. The facility, which is owned and administered by Castlereagh Borough Council, was and continues to be Northern Ireland’s only public Olympic-size ice rink.
A unique of its kind. There are very few activities that provide ice and bowling combined together.
